Alessandra Toscano is Director of Perinatal Cardiology in Departement of Fetal and Perinatal Cardiology at Bambino Gesù Children’s Pediatric Hospital IRCCS, in Rome, Italy from2018.
Dr Alessandra Toscano received his accreditation as physician from the University “La Sapienza” in Rome in 1995 and USMLE (United states Medical Licensing) in 1998. Then he obtained a PhD in Cardiovascular Physiology in 2000 at the University of Pisa-Modena. Then she obtained Board in Pediatrics and Cardiology at the University of Roma “La Sapienza” and University of “Tor-Vergata” in Rome, Italy. She did his fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Bambino Gesù Hospital in Rome from 1996 to 2000.
Her current work focuses on Study of axis Heart-Placenta-Brain in congenital heart disease. She specializes in non-invasive prenatal and postnatal diagnosis of complex congenital heart conditions, prenatal parental counseling, and post-operative follow-up. Her expertise also extends to advanced echocardiographic imaging in cardiac intensive care units and operating rooms, fetal predictors of complex congenital heart disease, functional echocardiography in fetal and neonatal intensive care units, and delivery room management for neonates with a prenatal diagnosis of congenital heart disease. Additionally, she is involved in several projects investigating the potential applications of artificial intelligence in perinatal cardiology.
