Isabella Neri, graduated in 1990 in Modena become specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1995. She then obtained the PhD in Perinatology at the University of Genova in the 1998 with a program investigating the activity of Nitric Oxide and its donors in pregnancy-related hypertensive disorders. Since 2006 is Research Associate and since June 2022 Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
Furthermore, she developed interest in Complementary and Alternative Medicine obtaining the degree of the Acupuncture School CSTNF of Turin associated to the Federation of Italian School of Acupuncture (FISA) (2007). Accordingly, she performed studies about the application of acupressure and acupuncture in obstetric field, in particular for correcting breech presentation, improve breastfeeding, induce labor and labor pain management.
Oher main scientific interests are: high-risk pregnancies, fetal monitoring, L-Arginine-Nitric Oxide pathway in pregnancy, obesity and diabetes during pregnancy. She is actually in charge of the Clinic for Pregnancy disorders being the referent professional for the entire area of Modena County.
Since 2006 Dr. Isabella Neri teach both at the School of Medicine and at the School of Midwifery of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and since 2017 she is President of the Midwifery School. She is also Director of the postgraduate midwifery Master “Ultrasounds and cardiotocography for midwives”.
Isabella Neri is author of 255 scientific publications: 29 congress communications, 32 bocks chapters, 194 papers H-Index=25 1628 citations.
