Dr. Sara Doroldi, MD, is a Resident in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Bologna, affiliated with the IRCSS Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria di Bologna – Policlinico Sant’Orsola. Born on June 4, 1994, in Treviso, Italy, Dr. Doroldi studied medicine in Trieste before starting her residency in Bologna in January 2021. She has gained experience across various units, including Obstetrics and Prenatal Medicine, Gynecology and Reproductive Pathophysiology, and Oncological Gynecology, at multiple healthcare facilities within the Bologna area, such as the IRCCS Sant'Orsola in Bologna, Azienda USL Bologna – Ospedale di Bentivoglio, Ospedale Maggiore, Consultori familiari, and Ospedale Morgagni Pierantoni in Forlì.
Dr. Doroldi has a deep interest in both physiological and pathological obstetrics, as well as labor and delivery activities, with a focus on prenatal ultrasound diagnostics. Dr. Doroldi is also actively involved in research and has contributed to significant publications in her field. In 2023, she co-authored the articles "Differential diagnosis of paracervical vascular anomalies in pregnancy" in Ultrasound Obstet Gynecol, and "When the going gets tough, the tough get larger: how is pandemic affecting fetal weight?" in Minerva Obstet Gynecol. Additionally, she conducted a research project for her experimental thesis titled "Is there a correlation between cardiotocographic patterns in labor and chorioamnionitis?" at IRCCS Burlo Garofolo in Trieste, in collaboration with the S.S.D. Unit of High-Risk Pregnancies.
A native Italian speaker, Dr. Doroldi is proficient in English and Spanish, holding a C1 level certification in Spanish (DELE) from the Instituto Cervantes, and has a basic knowledge of German (A2 level).
