Jessica is a PhD Student and Research Assistant within the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Newborn Health at the University of Melbourne. She works within the Perinatal Epidemiology Group and has a focus on exploring the impacts of perinatal exposures on the long-term health and wellbeing of mothers and children. The Perinatal Epidemiology Group is a multidisciplinary team paving the way by using big health data to answer the biggest questions in obstetrics. The team has a focus on evidence-based decision making for pregnant women and their clinicians, and in improving the long-term outcomes for women and their children.
Jessica's PhD focuses on using Big Health Data to explore the impact of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and the medications we use to manage them on maternal and childhood health, development, and wellbeing.
